- Ships in arrival are to be announced via their agent at least 48 hours prior to arrival.
- 24 hours prior to arrival, ship must confirm arrival through its agent (ETA).
- Not later than 2 hours before arrival, ship must confirm exact time of arrival directly on VHF channel 12 to the Rijeka Pilot station.

- Ships anchored at Rijeka road must listen VHF - Channel 12 (pilots) and Channel 9 (port control).
Ships leaving port or shifting the berth:
- When leaving the port or shifting the berth, the ship must notify the related information through the agent not later than 2 hours prior to leaving or shifting.
Changes in announcements or postponement of pilot's services:
- All information regarding changes in announcements or postponement of the pilot's services must be sent to Croatia pilot through agent or on VHF channel 12. Non adherence to these instructions can result in delay.
